Areas of Interest
Andrew Bartolini coordinates the College of Engineering’s First-Year Program, which features a two-course sequence of engineering courses for approximately 500 students, with a diverse set of instructors representing each department. He also leads a team of over a dozen undergraduate first-year engineering student assistants.
Andrew conducts engineering education research related to first-year engineering programs, including methods to boost students toward academic success and to assist students in making an informed program of study decision.
Andrew is an active member of the First-Year Programs Division of the American Society of Engineering Education (ASEE) and serves as an Executive Director of its board.
He also is a concurrent assistant teaching professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and Earth Sciences (CEEES). Within CEEES, Andrew is the faculty advisor for the Notre Dame Chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers.
