Areas of Interest
My research focuses on using and developing coupled electrochemical and optical techniques for:
- studying the behavior of single entities such as nanoparticles, molecules, enzymes, and bacteria
- developing ultra-sensitive chemical and bio-sensors.
In particular, I use an electrochemical version of the nanophotonic platform (electrochemical zero-mode waveguides) which serves as a “nano-beaker” to probe individual entities and also to develop single-molecule sensors.
