Notre Dame Women in Engineering encourages women to pursue engineering as an exciting and fulfilling educational and career choice.
We bring together women at all levels — undergraduate, graduate, faculty, and alumni — to create a community of support and opportunities for women to thrive. We hope you will join us!
Society of Women Engineers, Notre Dame Chapter
The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) is the world’s largest advocate and catalyst for change for women in engineering and technology. Notre Dame SWE is one of the largest student-led organizations on campus, with more than 180 active undergraduate members.
Graduate students in engineering lead and participate in the Notre Dame Graduate Society of Women Engineers.
SWE “empowers women to achieve full potential in careers as engineers and leaders, expand the image of the engineering and technology professions as a positive force in improving the quality of life, and demonstrate the value of diversity and inclusion.”
Together, ND Women in Engineering and ND SWE offer a wide range of experiences to maximize opportunities for women students, faculty, and practicing engineers to interact and learn from each other. Programming includes mentorship programs; guest speakers; industry/site visits; professional development workshops; career networking; and social, community-building, and service events.
